Northforge Interactive is an independent game studio. We create thoughtful, systems-driven games where simple mechanics combine into surprising, replayable experiences.
We are interested in depth that comes from rules rather than spectacle. We design legible mechanics, tune them until they sing, and then let players discover the moments we never scripted. Our work favours clarity over clutter, the second hour over the first five minutes, and finished-and-sharp over large-and-vague.
We are northern, independent, and quietly confident. We forge our tools and our games with the same care — and we build in the open, sharing the work as it takes shape.
Our first game isPULSE//ZERO, a neon twin-stick arcade shooter built on a reactive Living Grid. But the studio is bigger than any single title: Northforge is built to make systems-driven games for years to come.

Systems over spectacle
We design simple, legible mechanics that combine into surprising outcomes. Depth should emerge from rules, not from noise.
Clarity is craft
Readable screens, honest feedback, no hidden state. If a player cannot read the moment, the moment does not count.
Replayability by design
A good run should make you want the next one. We build for the second hour, not just the first five minutes.
Small, finished, sharp
We would rather ship a small thing that is complete and considered than a large thing that is vague. Scope is a feature.
